ICMI seeking comment on use of colorant dyes

The International Cyanide Management Institute (ICMI) announced on the 10th of August 2017 that it is seeking stakeholder comment on a proposed change to the International Cyanide Management Code program that would require mining operations to use colorant dyes in high strength cyanide solutions at mining operations.

The full press release can be found here.

AGR is a founding signatory of the ICMI, a voluntary industry body of companies that produce and handle sodium cyanide that promotes responsible management of sodium cyanide used in gold mining.

AGR’s production operation is fully accredited under the International Cyanide Management Code, which was developed under the direction of the United National Environment Program and is administered by the ICMI. Our accreditation can be found on the ICMI website under Production Signatories.

Since the inception of the ICMI, AGR has achieved accreditation for its supply chains in Australia and international transport routes, which can be found on the ICMI website under Transport Signatories.

As part of AGR’s product offering, it currently adds colorant dyes to its solution and solid sodium cyanide products.
